Jenny, our intrepid nature interpreter who has one of the most interesting jobs in the world, working at Haystack Rock. She selected the date on the basis of the tides for a Sunday outing, this being the only suitable date until another one sometime in the Autumn. Jenny lead us on an exploration of the tide pools at the foot of the monolith.  We had also hoped to see puffins, in which our hopes were sadly dashed.
